Frequently asked questions
Is Inlay really free?
Yes. The full game is free, with no ads and nothing locked behind a paywall. There are optional “tips” if you’d like to support development — but they’re never required and never expected.
What are the tips in the menu?
Tips are small, optional in-app purchases (Kind, Generous, and Amazing) that simply say thank you and help keep the game growing. They don’t unlock levels, remove anything, or change how the game plays — the entire game is already yours for free.
I left a tip — can I get a receipt or a refund?
All purchases are handled securely by Apple. Your receipt comes from Apple by email, and any refund requests are managed through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something looks wrong, email us and we’ll help however we can.
How do I restart a game, or mute the sound?
Tap the menu button — the three lines in the top-right corner. From there you can turn sound on or off, leave a tip, or start a new game.
Is my score saved? Does it sync between devices?
Your best score is saved locally on your device so it’s there when you come back. Scores don’t sync across devices, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Do I need an internet connection to play?
No. Inlay plays completely offline. A connection is only ever used by Apple if you choose to leave a tip.
Which devices are supported?
Inlay runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 or later, and is designed to look great on both.
